Buying a Gaming laptop may quench the thirst for mos of the Game freaks. But are Gaming laptops completely a boon to the user, well the answer depends on the user he himself. It has become more than just passion for gaming freaks to buy high price tagged gaming laptops, especially those who are in frequent travel and cannot tend to use a Desktop. In this post, we cover some of the issues that are present in gaming laptops.
Over Heating of Laptop
This is something that no one could avoid in a gaming laptop, especially when you are playing a High graphical and memory consuming game. Laptops tend to accumulate more heat than desktops due to its structure and the closeness of the components in the circuit. Unlike the desktop computers, we cannot add additional cooling units to the laptops in an effective manner. So what happens is that as time passes, the IC components gets damaged. Most of the laptop manufacturers give only 1 Year warranty, but after this 1 year, whatever happens to your laptop is of no concern to them and you finally end up paying extra cash from your pocket to fix the burned out circuits. Power Consumption
Many laptop users would have noticed this, Laptops tend to consume more power when playing games. Obviously most of the gaming laptops, comes with 8 cell Lithium Ion batteries for enhanced power standby, but that is still not enough. The Gaming laptops have high configuration hardware, this further increases the consumption of power.
Damages to Graphics Card
Unless you use High profile Gaming laptops like Alienware, your Laptop GPU is still vulnerable to damages. Most of the laptop manufacturers reduce the capacity of the Graphics card generally in order to save power. However as in gaming laptop, the full configuration is preserved. With often game crashes and restarts, your Graphics Card is the next soft target for damage.
High Price
Gaming laptops are usually high priced. If you are in dream of buying a good gaming laptop at the normal price, let me challenge you that you won’t be able to find out. Normal laptops can never be compared with Gaming laptops, they have high profile, and this actually increases the rate of Gaming laptops.

Well said RK… Gaming laptop, I think, is a misconcept… Games ought to be played on a console like PS or Xbox or on a desktop… Your lap is not the right place to play around… Its always your desk…
