jQuery is one of the widely used cross browser Javascript library. One popular platform where you can find jQuery is  WordPress. However some people may not be comfortable using jQuery, most probably for its size and its XML usage. So if you are looking some good jQuery  alternatives, here are the ones.

      There are many such tutorials mate, But learning about javascript library is boring for me, as I'm more an application developer than a webmaster :D

    Yes these are awesome tools and yes GWT is my favorite tool too. must try.

      Yes mate, I'm at present using GWT, I replaced the old jquery one, this one is light weighted and better performing.

    I like jQuery & I use it for ASP.Net apps as well. Need to check-out with the alt. suggested here.
