However, have you ever imaged getting only the audio from Youtube video. Well here is a website that can download the audio from a youtube video.
Dirpy.com is an online webapp, that can extract the audio alone from a youtube link and can save them in mp3 format. The website is still in its beta stage now, but the performance is really awesome. You dont need a third party software to extract the audio from the video.
Extract Audio from Youtube Video
- Navigate to the website “www.dirpy.com”

- In the shown text box enter the URL of the youtube video whose audio you want to download.
- Click on “Dirpy!” command button
- You will be redirected to a new page ,where it shows the youtube video in the right side and the audio track information and settings in the left side.
- Select the quality of the youtube audio and the start and end points ( you can download the whole audio track or a particular portion of the track by specifying its start and end time.

- You can also change the ID3 Tag data of the Youtube video , like the Artist, Album , Year, Track and other details
- The website also allows you to download the youtube video in flv and mp4 format online.
- By clicking on the Download button, you can download the audio track of Youtube .

I use DownloadHelper FF plugin to download YouTube videos. Didn’t know there is a way to download just the audio. Thanks Ram!
