This tutorial explains how to capture and record video of your computer screen. Though there are many popular screen video capture tools, Camtasia Studio is the best and the most widely used one. Camtasia Studio includes Camtasia Recorder, Camtasia Player and DVD Maker.
How to capture video from Computer Screen
- Download & Install Camtasia Studio from here
- In the menu, Click on “Record the Screen“.
- Soon you can see the Camtasia Record Panel appearing on your desktop.
- Setting #1: You can select to display the full screen or a part of the screen using the “Select Area” option.
- Setting #2: You can record either from the computer screen or from a webcam directly, this can be chosen from the “Camera” option in the panel.
- Setting #3: “Audio” button displays options to choose the audio device, the volume and the quality of the sound.
- Setting #4: This option under the “Effects” menu, you can select whether the mouse cursor should be displayed normally or highlighted.
- Setting #5: Mouse Click Sound: This is really a cool feature, it can generate sounds when u click your mouse, so the person watching the video can understand that you have clicked your mouse.
- Finally Click on the “Record Button“, this will start the recording.
- You can stop the recording at anytime, just press the Function key “F10” to stop recording.
- Thats it, the recoding is done.
- The Camtasia Studio has an inbuilt Player, that can play the file after the recording.
- Incase you want to burn the recorded to DVD,do check out the Camtasia DVD Menu Creator included along with the package.
