Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

“Which is the best Alternative to adsense ?” – The very common answer I used to get is Adbrite. As I have mentioned in one of my post, I have been rejected by Adsense several times. So i had to settle with some othadvertising company for the time being and I choose Adbrite. I have tried various other advertising networks and came across horrible experience amongst these network.

adbrite Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

Adbrite

Adbrite: I have been using this for a long period and trust me, this is useless. I have put four ad slots of Adbrite in my website(3 alone in the sidebar). Everday I used to get about 800 ~  1000 impressions on the sidebar ads. And the worst case they paid a CPM of 22 cents. And most of the time, there wont be any ads in the slot, you could see “Advertise here” link, which is again disgusting. Finally Yesterday I decided to stop using their service. I’m not sad that im going to lose the money I heard till now with adbrite(I dint reach the minimum payment amount) but I’m indeed  happy that I now saved 10 kiloByte(useless) from my website icon biggrin Horrible experience with Adbrite and others .

advertise space Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

Advertise Space

Advertise Space: None of my ad-slots were sold. This network accepts only very few publishers, two of my friends were rejected for an account in this network. Earlier I was happy to have been accepted but later I wondered why I choose this network. Even a single ad-slot of my is not filled as yet. Today I got a letter from the CEO thanking for using AdvertiseSpce till now. He also mentioned that they have added some 20 new styles of “Advertise Here” banner that is displayed when your slots are not sold. WTH!! Why cant the company get some news ads rather than adding 20 styles to the Advertise Here banner.

bidvertiser Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

BidVertiser

BidVertiser: Another popular alternative of adsense, the best part I once got paid 50 cent for a click, the worst part , never expect such high CPC again icon razz Horrible experience with Adbrite and others .  The reason I stopped using Bidvertiser is that they ignore many clicks. Even if i would have got some 30+clicks a day, they showed only 2 clicks with CPC 3 cent. Seriously what the heck is this,. They dont provide CPM too,. only CPC ads and they count all the clicks. This is worse….

burstmedia Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

BurstMedia

Burst Media: Another company which promises a higher CPM and CPC rate but finally gives you 2 cents for a thousand impression and 5 cent for a click. Another thing to note about BurstMedia is that they have a set of default ads, which will be displayed in the site, incase there are no-ads, these defaults are mostly surveys, they are non-paid ads. My experience was that, incase you get 100 ad impressions from Burst Media only 5 of them will be paid ad. With a 1000 page views in my site, I only got 5 cents that day. My advice dont even register an account with these people.

chitika Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

Chitika

Chitika: I don’t have any personal experience with Chitika. The below comment is purely based on the experience of one of my friend and fellow blogger. The  I reason I dint register an account with Chitika was that, one of my friend and fellow blogger, said Chitika pays for visits only from Search engine, being a startup blog Im just getting around 20~30 visits from Serach engine per day. So mathematically Speaking the probability of me earning more than a dollar per day with chitika is a big ZERO…

Rss Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

So guys, these are the worst of the experiences I had on advertising networks. Right now, I’m more settled with just using Infolinks, as it pays me better than the other banner and text ads. I have also added BuySellAds, but I think it demands a better number of impressions. Technorati Media has just approved me for their account. I have added an ad in the sidebar, lets see how it works, will update this post soon, describing my experience with other networks. Incase if you have any such experience, do share your valuable experience with us icon smile Horrible experience with Adbrite and others

I have just started using Infolinks and its is working pretty cool, it is giving me more revenue than adsense. So in my opinion Infolinks is the best alternative and btw you can use infolink with adsense too :)

Congrats on the 70$ cheque, Bidvertiser seems you have same experience like me,. And also I think you shud have noted in their agreement policy, that during the payment, they have the right to neglect any click if they find it invalid. 50+ $ on bidvertiser, I reckon it must be your 2 or 3 month earning, I feel sorry for that mate, bidvertisers seems to be a smart fradulent ad network..

That is really sad to hear. What about Adsense? Have you applied yet?

I’m experimenting with infolink since a couple of weeks and the performance is even worse than yours. Planning to kick it out after giving it 2 more weeks time.

    Direct advertising rocks! :D

Adbrite is not paying much, Try Chitika if you have some traffic from USA, per clcik you will get a decent amount.

Adsense is best, try infolinks also if you have some good traffic.

Around 40% traffic is from US Anish, But right now, Im going to stop using other services, Right now i have infolinks, they pay better than CPC and CPM ads. Adsense rejects me again and again, I dint meet their first condition (site must be 6 months old).

Thanks for the mention of AdvertiseSpace and the feedback. We’ve only launched our site less than a month ago so advertisers are just coming on board. It is important to have the ‘advertise here’ banner on your site as it will increase your chances of selling the ad by over 300% vs sites that do not have it.

Here is a success story of a blog sold out in less than 2 hours using our tool.

So they Told me that they are going to ban my account when I have to receive more than $100. So any body can help me there please.

    • January 21, 2010 at 10:05 am #

    • January 21, 2010 at 10:11 am #

yes I checked And Will sure join it. Abt Adbrite they Told me that they are going to refund money if (if) advertisers ask them means neither I get payment nor the advertiser

    • January 21, 2010 at 2:04 pm #

hi Ram here some more information for adbrite payment system hope it will help you,
AdBrite has a Net-60 payment policy, which means that each earning must mature for at least 60 days before it is eligible for payment. In other words, earnings from an ad purchased in March are eligible for payment in June. AdBrite uses this time to collect and verify payments. Additionally, we start processing publisher payments checks on the first business day of each month so your collective March earnings would be paid on the fifth business of June and your April earnings would be paid on the fifth business day of July, etc.

Ohh well I too have bad experience with adbrite. I own a tech site and in that site adbrite showed ads of some p**n related stuffs.
    Ohhh my god…

    Thanks
    TC

It feels awesome to read others experience. I have had my share of luck with chitika, but bidvertiser and adbrite networks were straight in the toiler from the very starting day for me.

I am not using inline ads such as infolinks, but gonna give a try.. didn’t try technorati media yet, how is it performing? :)

Its awesome compared to the rest, you have nice banner ads, rather than the text ads in adbrite, also the CTR is high now :)

  13. January 26, 2010 at 11:52 pm #

I ve been using technoratimedia for abt 6 months, no good result.

i had been paid by adbrite, bidvertiser, chitika, infolinks, kontera, and adsense. Though, there is no realistic alternative for adsense, unless you can have YPN which us indians can’t.

the chitika+infolinks is a good alternative, it paid me 30% of what adsense pays, infolinks alone get me about 20% of it. adbrite and bidvertiser are non-contextual, so they will pay less for sure :)

You know Adsense is the best ad network, all others are not good, otherwise you need massive tarffic.

I am using Komli, Infolinks, chitika as my adsense suppliments.

All the adnetworks need good traffic for revenue.

Dude, My suggestion is that don’t go for ad networks in the initial stage. Infolinks and Chitika are good when you have traffic. Komli I have no idea, however my friends dint get much out of it. You can also try BuySellAds.
