Corel Capture

Print Screen !! Though it is one of the least used keys in the keyboard, its plays a vital role for bloggers like me. But still the function it provides is very limited.

Drawbacks of using PrintScreen in Windows

  1. Only two capture modes available- capture the entire screen and capture the active window
  2. The captured file is only copied to the clipboard, which you should paste and save in image editors. There is no option to directly save the captured image to the file.
  3. Mouse Cursor cannot be captured in the image.

So what softwares can solve these issues ?

  1. Snag – It
  2. Corel Capture

Features of Snag- It & Corel Capture

  1. Hot Key Selection
  2. Delay time selection
  3. Direct save to file, with option for adding sequence number automatically (eg, image001, image002,.. so on)
  4. Video Capturing
  5. Facility to capture in various different modes
  6. Plugin compatibility with other softwares like Word, Photoshop etc
  7. Ability to define resolution and the file format to be saved in.
