The year  2009 has been a great year especially for the new marks made in teh field of technology. Ipod one of the most buzzed word amongst people of all ages has still continued to rock and expand its sale this year. Inspite of its competitors like Microsoft, Apple has managed to lead the market in the music player industry.  Here are some of the most widely used applications for iPod. iPod Touch

• Anapod Explorer

Anapod is an application that syncs the iPod with your computer and allows file transfer amongst the two mediums. Anapod is compatible with all the iPod firmwares, but at present Anapod Explorer works only on windows platform.

• CopyTrans

CopyTrans is yet another file explorer for iPod. Apart from just copying, CopyTrans moves ahead a step, it also preserves the file play order and the ratings of the songs. Like Anapod Explorer it is also compatible with all the versions of iPod.

• EphPod

Here is my favorite, guess why ., EphPod is compatible with both Windows & Linux. This is a file explorer but is blessed with features like copying Outlook contacts, playlists, ebooks and lot more.

• IMTOO DVD to iPod Converter

IMTOO is one among the popular conversion softwares. I have used IMTOO for converting video, but the DVD to iPod conversion seems very promising. The whole DVD video can be converted into mp4 files and other iPod compatible formats. It has features like merging sub-title, editing or trimming the DVD video.

Mac lovers, you got to try this,. iPod Access is one of the few iPod file transfer application designed for Mac. The application gives a trial version with limited feature set and for the full functioned application you got to pay 20$.

Probably the best Art Importer software for iPod, it out beats mediamonkey and Mp3Tag. This software has features like auto importing from Amazon. A genuine iTunes account is required for full functionality of this application.

Its now called the iGadget, this software is a shareware that has features like importing songs, outlook contacts, Podcasts and even RSS feeds . Its compatible with all iPod devices and required .NET Framework to work.

This is for those audio book listeners, many iPod users face the problem of losing their audio file bookmarks, this application solves the issue by providing a better bookmarking feature to the iPod.
