Opera – some also call this the heavy duty browser. This browser lacks many features that are present in the other browsers. Some of its disadvantages are its slow rendering speed, incompatibility with many browsers and lack of plugins. Safari – Apple claims it to be the world’s fastest browser,but I don’t think so. Safari comes as the default Internet Browser in Mac and if you need Safari in your Windows get ready to download a 30mb setup file. Being a programmer I wonder what they have put inside Safari to give a 30mb file. Also safari is reported to have many security flaws. Chrome has really hit the market within a year. Being handly, clean looking and faster, Chrome is the personal choice for lots of Windows users. Needless to say, being a Google product, Chrome doesn’t run on Linux .  Chrome must expand its wing, residing only in Windows will never be enough. The first browser I have used in my life. Being the default browser IE is the most widely used browser as of wikipedia. I have had horrible experiences with IE6. Firefox is my personal favorite, either be it in Windows or Linux. The huge list of plugins it has and the browsing experience will make it an outstanding amongst its competitors. Its compact, lightweighted, not much memory consuming and its fast. Firefox still holds the record of the most downloaded software in a day.
