Ashes Cricket 2009-PlayStation 3

Here’s a PS3 game for all cricket lovers , to be more precise for ashes lovers . Which cricketing fan doesnt like ashes besides . Over the years , all the cricket video gamers grown up playing mostly EA branded games right from cricket 99 . That was a trend setter , wasnt it? .

Even though EA sports kept improvising the quality of the game , edition by edition , it lacks some features like limited shot selections , feasibility of game and ease of the game etc., it also didnt include 20-20 format and power play which are playing a vital play in cricket at present .

So atlast we have a real cricket game without hilarious graphics other than from EA sports .

Formats included :

Test matches
One day matches
T20 matches
Ashes
Coaching and challenges

Batting :

As there are no specific buttons alloted for a particular shot like a pull or a drive etc , the ease of shot selection is very good .   L1 button is alloted for front foot shots , L2 for back foot . X , O  are same as EA cricket  games . The timing of the shots made the more realistic , and also you can enjoy free hits which gives you a thrilling experience .

Bowling :

I must say there isn’t much difference between other games . May be the limited options of bowlers is a reason to blame . If you play versus a human , then you can enjoy it more than  playing against system , especially in hard mode

Fielding :

You will find a dramatic change in this segment . Here we can even take catches , which we can not enjoy this option in many games . Also the process of catching is also  excellently given , which the judgement depends on the variation of  lights (yellow, green and red)

Good review, However Fifa is the best and the most successful series that EA Sports has ever produced. FIFA 10 is the current version. Folks I should say that game roxx.
