I was trying to find a solution for Cross OS Remote Desktop viewing and I came across software called (TightVNC) a free remote control software package under the GPL license. Though this software package is free, it has all the features that are provided by paid softwares such as RAdmin(Remote Administrator).
TightVNC Features
- Cross Platform Support
- Supports two modes.
- Mode 1: View only mode
- Mode 2: Full Control mode
- Various Speed Connection Mode
- Ability to view a particular client window with updated navigation features like zoom etc.
- Independent password for the two modes.
- Ability to blacklist particular computer
- Supports Multiple Instances to view various clients at the same time

TightVNC on Windows
Incase you are using windows as your platform, then you must install TightVNC on each of the computer. This is because the Remote Connection tool present in windows is not compatible with TightVNC. Whereas if you are using Linux, then there is no requirement to install because the Remote Sharing tools present in Linux are compatible with TightVNC.
TightVNC Viewer
TightVNC package also contains another free tool called TightVNC viewer, which supports viewing of any VNC enabled remote computer. You can specify the ip address of the remote computer and Enter the authentication password to start viewing the remote desktop.
